  Growing a beard!!

  i am doing one of my dreams for a while: growing a beard.

  it may not seem like much, but it's quite the experience for me.

  it's probably a rite of passage from jw to exjw lol.. besides the itchyness, i hate it that it curls so much (i have hairs that naturally start to curl after a certain length).. anyone here have tips on taking care of a beard?

  venting.... hubby visited with sil (with gotee intact), got the wt don't approve speech and the 'we've been missing you at the meetings".. he gave all the excuses he could for why we weren't there.

  i'm at the point of just telling them the truth as why... but we will be giving up our grandchildren.

  i just don't know if i can do it, give up the grandkids.

  welp, DH has had a number of visits this week, 2 elders, , 2 brothers, at his work. One of each today. All with the questions... I feel so bad, I'm the one who woke up and he is the one having to deal with them... I told him he was my hero. I warned him this would happen. Now it's waiting on the do you believe GB is Jah's blah blah blah....

  What are the feelings/thoughts within 24-48 hours of exposure to an undeniably true (for you) TATT?

  many of us know where we were during 9/11 or when john kennedy and martin luther king were killed.. it seems that when faced with ttatt, real truth is dismissed as "ol' light" or "an imperfect group of men" but from what i gather, many of you, at some point, were hit with a component of ttatt that shattered all of those cliches that allowed you to brush off the obvious reality that something was very wrong.

  some of you may remember the hours following your earliest exposures to an undeniably true tatt.

  Now, I wish I had done as much research going into this BS. I'm doing more research now as I'm trying to get out!!!! I was on overload when I had my moment of realizing this was not the truth. I knew I was among idiots but didn't realize how deep or how far up the ladder it went. I feel so stupid for dragging my children through this, and turning my back on non Jw family and true friends. Did I ever have a close friend in the hall, no. Just a handful that would only call if they needed something. Now after waking up, I've realize how many really really used us. My first husband of 21 years left because he couldnt handle the pressure from his family. I ruined xmas and all the holidays for them. He had an affair with someone who let him cry on her shoulder. I remarried to a Jw, but he's my soul mate. And is on his way out too. He is getting his ah ha moments now.

  When asked what I'm reading online, by hubby or daughter, I reply "my daily dose of apostate" and smile.

  Jon I'd wear a sexy low cut tight sweater to the next meeting and put two aspirins in my bra for proud nips and let all the ppl see!!! I think I'm having a melt down... LOL

  He gave all the excuses he could for why we weren't there. I'm at the point of just telling them the truth as why... but we will be giving up our grandchildren. I just don't know if I can do it, give up the grandkids. but it's something that i believe will happen anyway. I just dont think i can mentally sit through another meeting.

  I'm sick of the "the society tells us this and the society tells us that...." do they not hear themselves!?! Even hubby said there's no scriptures, but only articles about rebelious ones of the 60s.

  I think I need a beer or a Zanax! Of course I have to wait tilll DH gets home to get ALL the details... but I'm so over this. DH is too. I believe he is really seeing the light. and how controlig this cult is...

  I'm finished venting now. Thanks ~

  I think I'll tell the next person who asks about his gotee, that it's my shower scrubby for my tits!!!

  daughter missed a call from an elder tonight...we've missed meetings for about a month now.

  she is dating a worldly guy and i'm sure someone has seen them together.

  makes us nervous and with us being fairly new to the fading facet... should she call or avoid.

  Thank you for the reassurance. This has been very hard. Esp with family still in. We've decide to avoid any phone numbers we don't recognize and keep the door shut during the day. I keep it open because the sun shines thru and really warms up the livingroom. anyway... we've already had one jw friend visit us last weekend, we figured they only do this to finish up the last 30 mins of FS. ha! Hoping to avoid that from now on...

  We're planning on moving in the next year to relocate for my husband's work. I know that will give us some relief but until then, its the game of duck and dive... told daughter to just pay attention at work, because if they can find you they'll try to talk to you. They have already tried visiting my husband at his place of work. I'm livid! I stay at home, and now keep my doors locked. This is crazy~! I shouldnt' and my family shouldn't have to live like this because we're done with JWs & org.

  Thanks again for the support. You will never know how much coming here and venting, asking or just reading has helped~

  Ha, my hub wants a gift~!

  he knows i'm done, he's willing to fade.... out of the blue last night he tells me if i want to buy him a gift, he'd like the bacon bowl maker and the hamburger press (with the hollow center for fillings) so i will be buying him a valentine gift and i'm excited to be able to do it.~.

  i'm looking forward to doing lots of things we couldn't do, we may have to secretly do them since we still have family in wt.

  my mind is overwhelmed with excitement.... .

  JWdaughter , I'm not sure where he's at. But if wearing a gotee and pssing off the elders makes for a fader in progress, I'll take it. He's unsure at times, he just don't want to lose the grandkids. I understand completely where he is coming from. But I either stop now or I'll lose my mind. We've both had issues with things in the past that we've agreed on, then say we need to pray more and work on things... now I'm not at the level anymore.

  Skeeter, He is a steak man for sure!

  We got our details about the summer convention. Apparently no alternative days like in the past. I planned on "attending" another one whilst family attended another, to kinda duck and weave... but we're stuck with only one date and one location to work with, which stinks. I guess I 'll get a virus and stay home. Memorial will be a different issue.

  Yup planning a few vacations and enjoying them!
